The college library was dedicated to the founder
Principal and Celebrated Scholar Pandit Tirtha Nath Sarma, and
named after him on February 24. 1995. It is a matter of pride
to mention that Pandit Tirtha Nath Sarma Library has been
maintaining a prominent position in its resources and standard
of management among the College Libraries of Assam, run under
the traditional system of Library and Information Science, Now
to keep pace with the modern trend of Library Management,
steps have been taken for computerization of all functions of
the Library.

Reading Room-cum-Reference Section :
Newspapers are displayed in the Reading Room.
Books, journals, magazines, other periodicals and reference
books are issued for use in the Reading Room.
Library Tickets: General students are issued 2 library tickets
for borrowing books for home use.
Major students are issued 2 additional library tickets for
borrowing books for home use.
College Identity Card is issued for Reading Room use.
Renewal and Reservation facilities are available.
Borrowers must return the books writhing fifteen days from the
date of issue of the books. An overdue charge of one rupee per
book per day will be levied if the book is kept beyond the due
date of return. A borrower will be responsible for the loss or
damage of any book borrowed from the college library.
Special services of NORTH EAST INDIA REFERENCE CORNER and
PANDIT TIRTHANATH SARMA REFERENCE CORNER are available for
teachers and advanced students.

facilities are available in the college library. A minimum
amount of Re. 1/- will be charged for each copy.
Book Bank :
A Book Bank sponsored and financed by the U.G.C. has
been maintained by the college since 1971. Poor and
meritorious students are supplied with books for a complete
academic session on long-term basis from the Book-Bank. It has
a stock of about 20,000 books.
